Anti-Doping Outreach @ 41st National Pencak Silat Championship 2017

Anti-Doping Singapore (ADS), in collaboration with the Singapore Silat Federation (PERSISI), successfully conducted a 2-day anti-doping education outreach at the 41st National Pencak Silat Championship 2017 at Our Tampines Hub on 4 and 5 March 2017.

Participants for this championship ranged from 10 years old to adults. As such, the approach of education was versatile to ensure appropriate messages and information reached the right target segments. Young athletes had the chance to be exposed to values-based education, whilst older and more mature athletes tried their hands at WADA's Youth and Play True online quizes.

ADS Doping Control Officers (DCOs) were present to interact with the younger participants to educate them about the right values in sport and to provide other age group participants relevant information with regard to the doping control process and other aspects of anti-doping.

Silat OutreachClub members, supporters and volunteers also actively joined in the fun to gain general knowledge on anti-doping. All the participants were given token gifts for their effort in attempting the anti-doping quiz. To view more photos, you can visit ADS facebook: Day 1 and Day 2
