The 2017 Prohibited List comes into effect 1 January 2017... Athletes are reminded to always check the status of medication before using them

Athletes and Support Personnel participating in sport in Singapore have the following Roles and Responsibilities with respect to anti-doping to fulfill:


ATHLETES SHOULD:
 

  • Have knowledge of and comply with all anti-doping policies and rules adopted pursuant to the World Anti-Doping Code (Code).

  • Avail themselves for Sample Collection.

  • Take responsibility in the context of anti-doping for what they ingest and use.

  • Not knowingly cheat by using performance enhancing substances.

  • Inform medical personnel of their obligations not to Use Prohibited Substances and Prohibited Methods and to take responsibility for ensuring that medical treatment received does not violate anti-doping policies and rules pursuant to the Code.

  • Cooperate with Anti-Doping Singapore (ADS) and other recognised Code-compliant international anti-doping programmes.

  • Positively demonstrate the values and behaviour required to foster doping-free sport and true excellence in performance.


ATHLETE SUPPORT PERSONNEL SHOULD:
 

  • Have knowledge of and comply with all anti-doping policies and rules adopted pursuant to the World Anti-Doping Code (Code).

  • Cooperate with ADS and other recognised Code-compliant international anti-doping programmes.

  • Inform medical personnel of the obligations on an Athlete not to Use Prohibited Substances and Prohibited Methods and to take responsibility for ensuring that medical treatment received by an Athlete does not violate anti-doping policies and rules pursuant to the Code.

  • Positively influence the values and behaviour required to foster doping-free sport and true excellence in performance.
