Doping Control Personnel

The detection and deterrence of doping in sport requires the consolidated efforts of various stakeholders, one of which are the Doping Control Personnel responsible for conducting sample collection in-competition and out-of-competition. Doping Control Personnel are the Doping Control Officers, Blood Collection Officers and Chaperones. All of them play an important role in protecting the rights of athletes to compete in doping-free sport.

All Doping Control Personnel in Singapore are trained and accredited by Anti-Doping Singapore (ADS) according to the World Anti-Doping Agency's International Standard for Testing. All accredited Doping Control Personnel are issued with ADS Accreditation Cards and Authorisation Letters that must be shown when conducting doping control tests authorised by and on behalf of ADS.

All athletes have the right to request for the Doping Control Personnel's ADS Accreditation Card and Authorisation Letter when approached for doping control purposes. A sample of the ADS Accreditation Card is shown below.
